Bad Face Day
Description
The photographer's own words:
In this selfportrait, created when I was on my second year in art school, I’m holding another selfportrait which I shot on film and enlarged in the darkroom at school. The phrase “bad hair day” is probably familiar to most people, I remember thinking it would be great if you could just carry around a picture of yourself as a mask, on those days when you just don’t feel like facing the world. The fact that I look rather miserable in the photo I’m hiding behind, adds an extra layer of sarcasm, perhaps.
